Scottsdale Will Have a Beach Club

A hip beach club is coming to downtown Scottsdale.

Triyar, a division of Los Angeles-based commercial real-estate developer Triyar Companies, who developed the trendy W Hotel in Scottsdale, will create a $6 million high-end beach resort minus the hotel, in the heart of downtown Scottsdale.

The company has been working on their splashy, palm-lined, cabaña-laden plan for two years.

The idea apparently stems from the growing trend for see-and-be-seen pool parties among thirty-somethings at high-end resorts. The problem has been that the resorts offering such facilities need to offer them to their guests first.

The Scottsdale Beach Club will have no such problem. It will offer a resort-size pool, a stage for live acts overlooking the pool, numerous bars, a complete restaurant, poolside private cabañas, a mammoth LED video screen, changing rooms, shower facilities, billiards, video games—the list of stimulating choices goes on and on.

And just as Scottsdale has developed into a city of two distinct personalities, one by day and one by night, the SBC will apparently change its moods on a similar basis.

The concept is not without precedent, however. Only last week Spanish Fly Mexican Beach Club, also described as a hotel pool without the hotel, opened in Scottsdale on 7th St just south of Camelback.
